This Thanksgiving Will Reportedly Break Records Being The Busiest Air Travel Season Ever

Thanksgiving is next week and it’s looking like if you don’t get to the airports on time, you’ll be having some major issues. Now if you’re like me, you like to get to the airport with just enough time to buy some snacks and hop on your flight, but if you’re traveling for Thanksgiving this year, that’s probably not the route you want to take!

TSA spokeswoman #LisaFarbstein said, trends have come up suggesting the busiest days of traveling can being as early as November 16th and lasting through November 25th. In the statement she said: “We have started to see a trend in which the Thanksgiving holiday period actually begins the Friday before Thanksgiving.” She also added: “It’s that Sunday that’s expected to be the busiest overall because so many people come home from their trips on the Sunday after the holiday.”

TSA confirmed on average they screen nearly 2.1 million to 2.2 million passengers and crew nationwide daily, but during Thanksgiving they expect at least 25% increase from their usual number.
