MIKE EPPS PREVIEWS RESEMBLANCE OF RICHARD PRYOR AS HE PREPS FOR THE BIOPIC

September 4, 2018 Comedian Mike Epps Tweets “Richard  Ready” along with a picture of himself  as he stands next to a poster of the legendary Richard Pryor. The image, which was from Pryor’s 1977 silver screen smash Which Way Is Up?, looks just like Epps’ with his new barefaced look, sans mustache and goatee.

Eddie Murphy was originally attached to play Pryor, but the producers decided that Murphy’s fame as a stand-up comedian and movie star would be distracting to audiences. Epps previously played Pryor in the 2016’s Nina, a biopic about songstress and social activist Nina Simone.

The biopic, entitled Is It Something I Said?, is slated for theaters early 2019.
