Well, it looks like the term “ your past catches up with you”, applies to everyone while is the case it applies to Lenard Larry McKelvey or better know as Charlamagne Tha God the famous radio host from the 105.1 (The Breakfast Club) show. It has been discovered that a 17-year-old rape allegation against Charlamagne has been tried by the defendant to be open again. However, when the case closed it ended with Charlamagne taking a plea deal for a lesser charge which evidently had nothing to do with sexual assault. Charlamagne stated that Over seventeen years ago, I pled guilty to ‘Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor’ and served 3 years of probation after irresponsibly hosting a party where alcohol was served to minors. I will forever regret my role in creating an environment that was less than safe.”. He later said, “I cooperated with authorities, participated in multiple interviews and submitted to DNA testing.”. Now for the cause to as why the case was resurfacing was due to Jessica Reid the victim, and her interview with The Blast.  Jessica stated in her interview that she was looking for legal representation to maybe reopen the case against Charlamagne. However, sadly due to the plea deal Charlamagne signed no further action against Charlamagne can be taken based on the original charge.
