Five days after LeBron publicly agreed to a 154 million contract with the Lakers, Artist Jonas Never and his friend Menso painted a mural of LeBron James titled “King of L.A.” in Venice, California. However, the mural seemed to get some negative feedback on social media. A Twitter page named “Lakers Fanbase” offered $300 “to anyone who destroys this mural.” Shortly after, someone vandalized the mural of James. Spray painting the words “We don’t want you,” “No King” “LeFraud,”and, “3-6” to allude to his record in the NBA Finals.

Never fixed the mural, this time taking the word “of” out of the “King of L.A,” hoping people would not be offended. However, that didn’t happen. Someone vandalized the mural again. This time throwing yellow paint across LeBron’s face on the painting. After the second incident Never decided the mural should be taken down.

There seems to be a reoccurring act of vandalization to murals that people do not like. For instance, Prodigy in Queens, and Old Dirty Bastard in Brooklyn. Do you think it is rude and an insult to the artist who paints the murals? Comment Below.
