Toys “R” Us Is Set to Return for the 2019 Holiday Season Under a new name. Toys “R” Us is set to return after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in 2017 and ending its U.S. operations. Toys “R” Us executive Richard Barry and current CEO of new company Tru Kids Inc., is currently working out a relaunch planned for the 2019 holiday season.

Tru Kids will be opening free-standing stores and stores within existing shops. Barry and his team of fellow ex-Toys “R” Us executives are looking to open 10,000 square foot stores and establish an e-commerce presence, a vital element missing from the famed toy purveyor.
