This clever USB-C hub attaches directly to your MacBook charger

Hyper has a new USB- C hub, it’s  pretty clever twist on the previous hubs we’ve seen. Instead of plugging your charger into a separate hub the HyperDriveUSB-C Hub attaches to the charger for a more seamless setup than a dangling dongle. It’s very similar to the plug bug by TwleveSouth  which attaches to the plug end of Apple’s MacBook chargers to add an USB type-A port for charging. The Hyperdrive USB-C hub goes a step further by actually serving as an active USB-C hub letting. you not only use the two extra ports for charging but also letting you connect them to your computer for data transfer as well.

Due to the physical design of the Hub Attach, Hyper is making two versions. There’s a $49.99 model for the 15-inch MacBook Pro’s physically larger, 87W USB-C charger (which Hyper says can output up to 82W to the USB-C port and up to 12.5W on the USB Type-A plugs). And for the 13-inch MacBook Pro’s 61W charger, there’s a smaller $39.99 model (which Hyper promises can still deliver up to 58W over USB-C).

The HyperDrive USB-C Hub Attach is set to ship in early November.
