Samsung Finally Debuts New $2,000 USD Foldable Phone, the Galaxy Fold
Samsung has officially debuted its new foldable handset, the $1,980 USD Galaxy Fold. The foldable smartphone will be available in both LTE and 5G, both utilizing a tablet-sized 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display that can be folded with the use of its hinge system and interlocking gears.
The main display uses a QXGA+ resolution (4.2:3) when open and a smaller 4.6-inch HD+ (12:9) display when the handset is folded into its phone mode. The Galaxy Fold has 512GB of storage alongside a Qualcomm 7nm outa-core processor and 12GB of RAM. The device also has 3 cameras on the rear that can be used in either tablet and phone mode. It has a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 12-megapixel wide-angle, a telephoto camera, and a 10-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold will launch in the U.S. through AT&T and T-Mobile on April 26.
