Nas Confirms ‘The Lost Tapes II’ Album Release

Nas took to Instagram to confirm the long-awaited release of The Lost Tapes II album. In the social media video, the iconic Queens rapper dons an Arsham Studio lab coat and white gloves while holding a Future Relic sculpture of a decayed cassette tape with the project’s title. The artist behind the ensemble and artwork, Daniel Arsham, shared the video on his Instagram account as well to confirm the collaborative piece.

The first album originally released in September 2002, lauded as one of the rapper’s most acclaimed installments. It featured tracks that didn’t make the cut from the production of Nas’ 1999 album entitled I Am… as well as his 2001 album Stillmatic.

There is still no word on the official release of the album or if the cassette sculpture will roll out as an open edition for art enthusiasts. Stay tuned for more details on both and get a closer look at the sculpture below.
