Since 2016 the clown prince of crime that was last seen by comic fans, was played by the Golden Globe and Academy winner Jared Leto. Now although there were big hype and anticipation for Jared’s debut as The Joker. Fans were not content and happy with his performance, but hold on because it has been confirmed that brilliant actor Joaquin Phoenix is reprising the role as Batman’s greatest villain. Joaquin is the winner of various Golden Globe Awards and has won the Critics Choice Award in 2001. He is best known for his iconic role in the movie “ Gladiator” as a co-star to Russell Crowe. Therefore if he even uses some of his acting chops in this Joker role it can be an excellent film that might be able to go toe to toe with other joker performances such as Jack Nicholson and the late Heath Ledger performances. Both were widely praised as high points for this comic villain. Todd Phillips is directing this origin film, Philips has worked on projects like the “The Hangover” trilogy and government crime film “War Dogs”. Furthermore, it seems Joaquin and Todd could make a good team, “I take a lot of time and consideration when making decisions and what I’m gonna work on always. So, in some ways, the process, which is obviously reading a script and meeting a filmmaker and then continuing to have meetings and discussions with Todd [Phillips]. I think he’s very impressive and he seems to have a very interesting understanding of this world and what he’s trying to say. And so there is something very appealing about that and working with him on this particular project. It feels unique, it is its own world in some ways, and maybe, mostly, it scares the fucking shit out of me or something.” Joaquin said about working with Todd. The project’s budget is in the $55 million range and has been expected to be able to come out as soon as late 2019  which could be subject to change depending on various factors.
