Frank Ocean Unveiled a New Music on the Christmas Episode

During a special Christmas episode of his Blonded Radio show on Apple Music on Saturday, Frank Ocean unveiled nine minutes of new music.

Fans anticipating hearing Ocean’s first new tracks since April 2020 were instead treated to a lengthy piano piece with Ocean rapping and ad-libbing; the majority of the song was recorded in a single take in the summer of 2020, according to the singer’s Instagram Stories.

Following the death of Ocean’s younger brother Ryan Breaux in August 2020, Ocean’s Blonded Radio episode included recordings from his conversation with Dutch extreme athlete and motivational speaker Wim “The Iceman” Hof.

Ocean’s last tracks, “Dear April” and “Cayendo,” were dropped in April 2020, and the artist will focus on his luxury brand Homer in 2021.
