Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s ‘On The Run II’ Tour Earns More Than $250 Million
There is no doubt that Beyoncé and Jay-Z had one of the hottest tours this summer. Now the final numbers are in, and the Carter’s definitely racked in hundreds of millions.
According to Billboard, the “On The Run II” tour finished with a total of $253.5 million in the bank. The 48-stadium date tour started on June 6th in Cardiff, Wales, and played a total of 18 shows throughout Europe before starting their 30 North American shows. Overall the tour sold a total of 2,177,000 tickets.
The biggest payday was at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, grossing $14.1 million.
While on the tour the Carter’s released their highly anticipated joint album “Everything Is Love,” which featured the chart-topping single “Apesh*t.” The album was released back in June while the couple was on stage in London.
Also while on tour, the power couple also announced their million-dollar scholarship fund from the OTR II ticket sales. As we previously reported, the #BeyGood initiative and The Shawn Carter Foundation spearheaded the program.
As we all know, the OTRII is the sequel to their 2014 “On The Run” tour; the 21-stadium date tour brought in a total of $109.6 million.
Needless to say, the Carter’s always know how to win.
