A Mac Miller Documentary Is in the Works
Filmmaker and hip-hop music video director CJ Wallis is currently working on a “definitive” documentary focusing on the life of the late rapper Mac Miller. His company Margrette Bird Pictures is starting pre-production on the untitled film, with Wallis taking to Twitter to ask fans who they think would be a good fit for interviews. Many have answered with the likes of Anderson .Paak, ScHoolboy Q, Thundercat, Vince Staples and Earl Sweatshirt, while some have suggested his parents and ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande.
Miller passed in September 2018 from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol. He was 26.
